Yokogawa to Begin Offering OpreX Batch Solution with Enhanced Portfolio for Batch Plants

Yokogawa Electric Corporation recently announced that it will begin providing OpreX Batch Solution on March 17. This solution for batch manufacturing applications eliminates the overlap between process control system (PCS) and manufacturing execution system (MES) related work and helps to enhance efficiency through all phases of the plant lifecycle, from design and engineering to actual operation, modification, and expansion.

AutomationDirect has added several new additions to the powerful LS Electric XGB PLC series. For discrete (ON/OFF) monitoring and control, a new lower-cost 24 VDC 8-point input module, 8-point 12-24 VDC sinking and sourcing output modules, an 8-point relay module with Form A contacts, and a 16-point combination discrete input/relay output module are now available. For process monitoring and control, in particular temperature and weighing applications, two new 4-channel 16-bit resolution temperature modules (RTD and thermocouple), and a new load cell module capable of supporting up to 4 load cells each, have been added.

E-T-A: UL 1077 & UL 489 4230-T Miniature Circuit Breakers

The 4230 is a thermal-magnetic Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) in an industry standard footprint in accordance with DIN 43880. Its conformity with the relevant standards IEC 60947-2 and UL1077 makes the 4230-T ideally suitable for worldwide use. Due to its high rupture capacity of 63 A, the 4230-T is suitable for use as a supplementary protector. Later product extensions by add-on modules such as an auxiliary contact module or a working current module offer high flexibility for the user.
