Beckhoff: CX7051 – Embedded PC for CANopen Responder (Slave)

The CX7051 Embedded PC has an ARM Cortex-M7 single-core processor with 480 MHz. In the basic configuration, it has a slot for a microSD card and an Ethernet interface. As a special feature, the CX7000 series has eight integrated multi-functional inputs as well as four integrated multi-functional outputs. This embedded PC has a CANopen responder (slave) interface.

E-bus or K-bus terminals can be attached as required; the CX7051 automatically recognizes the type of I/O system connected during the start-up phase. The control system is programmed with TwinCAT 3 via the Ethernet interface.

Danish company Borncut A/S, located in Ronne, has developed what they believe to be the world’s fastest and most precise portion cutter for the food industry, based on specially developed software and the open control platform from Beckhoff. Fish or poultry is divided into exact portions in a flash – with knives that rotate at speeds of up to 200 km/h and can make over 2,100 cuts per minute.
