C&K’s New Sealed Tactile Switch – El Series

C&K, a major manufacturer of high-quality electromechanical switches, has recently developed a versatile sealed tactile switch which will fit a wide variety of applications across markets. The EL tactile switch combines common heights and actuation forces, to target similar products in the marketplace, while providing a longer lifecycle than competitors at 200,000 cycles.
The EL Series is a fantastic addition to the C&K tactile switch portfolio, to satisfy basic requirements aside from the sealing at a competitive price. Creating the EL as a standard market size of 6.2mm x 6.2mm with heights of 3.5mm & 5.2mm, allows for C&K’s design to be 100% “pin to pin” replacement of competitors switches. EL Series features a IP67 protection rating, which is ideal for harsh environments and to give you peace of mind that your switch will stay sealed for the life of the switch. The soft actuator allows for easier integration through pre/post travel. The EL is available at a low price point, with 4 configurations only, without possible option to warrant the best cost efficiency.
Offering a longer lifetime compared to competitors tactile switch, the EL Series offers 200,000 cycles at both 2N and 3.5N. The standard sizing of the EL is suitable for a wide range of applications in the industrial, medical, consumer and household appliances markets.
