Introducing a series of stripping tools from Weidmuller with automatic self-adjustment for precision stripping. These tools are designed for flexible and solid conductors, and are ideally suitable for mechanical and plant engineering, railway and rail traffic, wind energy, robot technology, explosion protection as well as marine, offshore and ship building sectors.

Production personnel can work safely and efficiently using the new Allen-Bradley 450L Perimeter Access Control (PAC) GuardShield safety light curtains from Rockwell Automation. Subject to risk assessment, light curtains eliminate the need for hard guarding and gates, while allowing frequent, easier and safe access to hazardous areas. Designed for whole-body detection, PAC light curtains are typically positioned around an area or in front of a machine entry or exit that poses a moderate to high risk of operator injury.

AutomationDirect: New LUTZE Type HAR/MTW Wire

AutomationDirect has added 300V to 750V rated LUTZE Type HAR/MTW (Harmonized European Standard / Machine Tool Wire) wire that meets National Electrical Code (NEC) and NFPA Standard 79 requirements and is commonly used for appliance wiring, control cabinets, and machine tool applications in Europe. These wires consist of a tinned copper single conductor covered with a color-coded polyvinyl chloride (PVC) outer jacket and are available in sizes ranging from 0.75 mm2 (19AWG) to 4.0 mm2 (12 AWG).

ABB: Vital Safety Controller

When several safety devices should control the same output, it is quite common to connect them in series. But to reach PL e, serial connection is not possible and each device should have its own safety relay. Vital offers the capability to exclusively control smaller machine safety systems that would otherwise have required a programmable controller or multiple safety relays. With the Vital safety controller, up to 30 safety devices can be connected in series to one Vital and still reach PL e.
