Weidmuller Introduces it’s ModuPlug Line Up

Industrial applications are becoming increasingly complex. The demands being made of the connectivity used are growing at the same time.

Functionality in the smallest of installation spaces, safe installation and a fast retrofitting process are just some of the product properties being called for. Not only does the RockStar® ModuPlug modular plug-in connector system meet current market requirements; it has been specially designed with the future in mind too.

Weidmuller is pleased to introduce further innovations to the Moduplug family.

Their newest additions are the RJ45 and Pneumatic inserts here.

They now have a full range of RJ45 inserts and special slimline CAT 6 patch cords. They offer a gender changer in addition to some field attachable connector modules coded EIA/TIA T568 A, B and Profinet using either IDC and crimp connection technology.

The pneumatics they have added have a two pole and a three pole version.

There are four contact sizes available, 1.6, 3, 4 and 6.

They are hoping that these additions will add to the competitiveness of the HDC Rockstar Moduplug family.

Leviton Introduces Category 6A Cable with Reduced Diameter

Leviton recently announced a new Category 6A cable called LM-RDT. This UTP plenum cable features an outside diameter (OD) of only 0.230 inches, making it ideal for cable upgrades, retrofit applications, or areas where space is at a premium. LM-RDT – short for Leviton Manufacturing Reduced Diameter Technology – achieves a smaller OD by eliminating the cable cross-filler while maintaining Category 6A performance through Leviton Precision Twist Technology.
