Pilz PSENcodeThe PSENcode from Pilz are used to monitor the position of guards in accordance with EN 60947-5-3 and also for position monitoring. Thanks to the integrated evaluation and the standard interfaces, PSENcode is open to products from other manufacturers. So the coded safety switch fits perfectly into most environments and can be used to upgrade plants.

Thanks to RFID transponder technology, the coded safety switches PSENcode from Pilz combine maximum manipulation protection with the smallest space requirement. A new feature is a further solution for space-critical applications, where the installation height is a key factor: the PSENcode low profile actuator is just 3 mm high and is currently the world's most low profile actuator.

The PSENcode low profile actuator supplements the compact or slimline design of the safety switches PSENcode and can be used in combination with them. Due to its extremely low height it is eminently suitable for applications in which space is critical. The actuator has a stick or screw on design and can therefore be used on plexiglas. A safe switching distance of 6 mm, irrespective of the base, is a further benefit. Thanks to its versatile installation, users benefit from a high degree of freedom in the machine design.

The coded safety switches provide safe monitoring up to PL e of EN ISO 13489-1 or SIL CL 3 of EN/IEC 6206. In this case PSENcode safely monitors up to three positions, which can be safely differentiated by the sensor. Integrated evaluation and a reduction in the number of safe inputs on the evaluation device make the coded safety switch PSENcode an economical solution.

  • Highest level of safety and plant availability

The KDL/D cable entry system allows cables to be installed through enclosures or other bulkhead surfaces, with the added benefit that pre-made, terminated cables can be installed without disassembling the connectors. The split-frame system enables the quick and simple installation of up to 48 cables in a single frame. Four frame sizes, starting at $16.00, fit standard cut-out dimensions and provide integrated strain relief. The KLD/D system’s robust multi-part frame design gives better mechanical stability while achieving a high degree of environmental protection.

The multi-part split-frame system clamps together with a grommet block and grommets to provide a high-density cable entry point with an IP65 environmental rating. Small and medium size grommets (from $6.00) accept cable diameters from 0.08 to 0.87 inches (2 to 22mm).
