Rockwell Automation to Feature Smart Safety Solutions at MINEXPO 2024

September 3, 2024

Rockwell Automation will highlight two component solutions for a smart, safe mine at MINEXPO 2024 that empower companies to foster sustainable mining practices that help protect both workers and assets.

GuardLink technology, combined with the 440E Lifeline cable pull switches, provides enhanced safety solutions tailored for the mining industry. GuardLink enables communication between safety devices and control systems, offering real-time status monitoring and diagnostics that enhance operational transparency and minimize downtime. This level of connectivity helps ensure that safety measures are compliant with industry standards, reducing the risk of harm to personnel and equipment.

The 440E Lifeline cable pull switches allow for quick emergency shutdowns by simply pulling the cable, which can be strategically placed along hazardous areas in mines. This quick response capability is crucial in environments where swift action is needed to help protect personnel from potential dangers such as equipment malfunctions or sudden changes in operating conditions.

These solutions empower companies to create safer work environments while maintaining productivity. By reducing response times and improving communication around safety measures, mining operations can significantly lower their risk profiles, minimize injuries, and enhance overall efficiency.
