Marc Villeneuve Announced as New President & CEO of WECO

WECO is pleased to announce Marc Villeneuve as its new President and CEO, effective February 1st, 2025.

Marc succeeds Michel Alary, who has served as President & CEO since 2021. Michel joined WECO in 2012 as Supply Chain Director and was appointed VP Global Operations in 2015, overseeing global manufacturing, supply chain strategy, and continuous improvement initiatives. Under his leadership, WECO achieved best-in-class safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance across three operating units.

Michel’s legacy at WECO is marked by the company’s enhanced international integration, setting a strong foundation for future growth. His retirement marks the end of a successful tenure that saw WECO become a more unified and customer-centric organization.

Marc Villeneuve brings over 25 years of experience in the connector industry to his new role. His comprehensive background encompasses connector concepts, their designs, engineering, production, and sales. Marc’s expertise includes managing engineering teams, patenting a contact spring, and developing a deep understanding of customer applications ensuring quality expectations in the marketplace.

Prior to his appointment as President and CEO, Marc served as the General Manager for WECO Canada and was Director of Sales & Marketing for North America. His extensive sales experience in various organizations, including major distributors and technology companies, combined with his strong engineering background, will serve him well to lead WECO into its next phase of growth.

In his new role, Marc Villeneuve will spearhead WECO’s initiatives in several key areas:

  1. Customer-Centric Approach: Maintaining a strong focus on customer relationships and satisfaction to drive long-term revenue growth.
  2. Market Share Expansion: Implementing strategies to increase WECO’s presence in the global electrical connector market.
  3. Improved Manufacturability: Focusing on optimizing production techniques to increase efficiency and quality.
  4. Market-Oriented Connector Designs: Developing products that align closely with evolving customer needs and market trends.
  5. Artificial Intelligence Integration: Leveraging AI technologies to enhance connector designs and manufacturing processes.

Building on WECO’s century-long legacy of innovation and quality, Marc Villeneuve is poised to guide the company through the rapidly evolving landscape of electrical connectors and connection systems. His leadership is expected to reinforce WECO’s position as a provider of electrical connector solutions in the global market.
