Johnson Controls Named to Forbes Best Employers for Women 2023 List
August 8, 2023
Johnson Controls has recently been named to the Forbes list of Best Employers for Women 2023.
“We’re proud that the culture we’ve built empowers and celebrates women, values their contributions and supports continued innovation,” said Marina Williams, vice president of diversity, equity and inclusion at Johnson Controls. “Congratulations to our Johnson Controls employees who played a significant role in earning this recognition. I’m grateful for the strides we’re all making to continue developing a work environment that deeply values diversity, equity and inclusion.”
Created in partnership with market research firm Statista, Forbes surveyed more than 60,000 U.S. employees at companies employing at least 1,000 people. About 40,000 women were asked to rate their company in areas such as working environment, salary and employee diversity, and then whether they would recommend their company to a friend or family member; their answers were also compared to those of 20,000 men to assess any significant differences in workplace perception. Women were also asked to rate their employer based on factors such as pay equity, parental-leave policies, leadership training programs for women, representation of women in upper management, and employer response to incidents of discrimination.
Further research was conducted into each company’s presence of women in executive management or board positions. Johnson Controls ranks #262 out of the top 400 companies.
This is Johnson Controls’ latest recognition as an employer of choice, following shortly after Forbes named the company to its Best Employees for Diversity 2023 list. Other recent awards include:
- Human Rights Campaign Foundation
- Newsweek America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity
- Forbes America’s Best Large Employers
