CDM Inc. Announces Phase Match RF Capabilities

CDM Inc. has recently announced new in-house Phase Match capabilities for RF jumper cables.

Phase Matching is a set of precisely manufactured and tested RF cables that have the same electrical length at a set frequency (measured in degrees) based on end-user requirements. Precise and consistent manufacture of phase matched cables requires specialized equipment and skilled, experienced technicians. CDM’s unique program provides a one-stop source for customer material requirements, match testing and final assembly.

“Along with CDM’s high precision test equipment, the added ability to phase match our cables will allow CDM Inc. to continue to evolve with the continual improvement of systems in the industry whether it be Radar, Medical, Aerospace, or Defense” said Nicolette Hall, CDM’s Director of Operations and Manufacturing. “Not only will CDM be able to provide our customers with continued quality service, but we will also be able to ensure the cables supplied will achieve the highest performance, will provide precise tracking of targets, optimize communication and energy exchange, and allow higher signal integrity regardless of what application they are being used in.”

CDM’s current test equipment includes a Rohde & Schwarz ZNL20 Vector Analyzer, frequency range 5kHz to 20 GHz., and a Rohde & Schwarz ZNLE Vector Analyzer, frequency range 100kHz to 20 GHz. All assembly work and phase match testing is done at CDM’s Turnersville, NJ, manufacturing facility.

Introduction to UL’s “MTR” Requirements

UL´s Industrial Control Panel Shop Program (ICP Program) allows control panel manufacturers, whether custom-build or mass-produce ICPs, to apply the UL Marks for the U.S. and Canada at their factories.
