Weidmuller USA Announces New Automation Solutions Network (ASN)

Weidmuller USA has recently introduced an advanced automation and IIoT consulting, integration and programming team, known as the Weidmuller Automation Solutions Network (ASN).

Led by Applied Solutions Engineers, Weidmuller’s ASN team works to align product and services to solve problems and optimize solutions to meet advanced automation software and hardware challenges.

“Our Applied Solutions Engineers are a valuable resource for anyone who wants to tie software and hardware together into a working and validated/tested system for automation,” said Ken Crawford, Senior Director of Automation at Weidmuller USA. “The ASN team actively listens to provide packaged, programmed and operating solutions.”

With a deep knowledge of the market and industrial control systems, ASN members can align products and services to solve problems and optimize solutions for customers who want future-ready automation solutions.

A snapshot of ASN services includes:

  • Technology Migration includes outlining a plan to replace an existing PLC/Control system with a Weidmuller control system, replacing any control system through rapid replacement of cabling/interconnects, and programming migration that converts legacy code into Codesys for Weidmuller platforms.
  • Site Surveys provide a mapping of an existing control system in order to understand complexity.
  • Technical Discovery includes active listening to identify opportunities to apply product or technical knowledge to identify or solve a problem for the customer.
  • Consultation provides an opportunity for a two-way conversation between the customer and ASN to discover options to address any knowledge or methodology gaps about our automation products.
  • Programming Services provide an ASN resource to program/code a solution to validate a Weidmuller-based solution in the environment and with the desired operating performance of the system.
  • Integration ties all parts of a solution together, hardware and software, in the working system to ensure all the components work together to meet the desired requirements.
  • Demonstrations/Training offer hands-on applications and instruction on how our components and products operate.
  • Technical Validation provides proof that the selected or configured solution or idea meets all desired requirements against the specifications.
  • Solution Selling is monetizing a recognized opportunity into a packaged, programmed, configured and operating solution.
