Graybar recently announced that it has earned 2022 Top Workplaces Culture Excellence Awards for Work-Life Flexibility and Compensation & Benefits.

Issued by Energage, Top Workplaces Culture Excellence Awards celebrate organizations that excel in specific areas of workplace culture. The Work-Life Flexibility Award celebrates companies that provide options to their employees in how and where they work, as well as having managers who care for their employees’ concerns. In addition, the Compensation & Benefits Award celebrates organizations who provide employees not only with material rewards, but also with appreciation for their work. These awards come on the heels of Graybar being named a Top Workplaces USA Award winner for the second consecutive year.

Bel Announces Retirement of Dennis Ackerman; Steve Dawson Appointed as President of Bel’s Power and Protection Segment

Bel Fuse Inc. has recently confirmed consistent with prior announcements that Dennis Ackerman will retire from the Company effective July 31, 2024 after 37 years of service, having served as President of Bel Power Solutions and Protection since 2014. As previously announced, Steve Dawson, who most recently served as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for the Power segment, has been named to succeed Mr. Ackerman. His appointment as the new President of Bel Power Solutions and Protection is effective July 1, 2024. Mr. Ackerman joined Bel in 1986 and held the positions of Customer Service Manager, Sales Manager, Purchasing Director and Operations Director.  In 2001, he was named Vice President of Operations and in June 2014, he was named President of the Bel Power Solutions and Protection segment.

Yokogawa and Rice WaTER Institute Partner on Autonomous Water Treatment

Yokogawa Corporation of America and the Water Technologies Entrepreneurship and Research (WaTER) Institute at Rice University announced today a new partnership in support of modular autonomous water treatment and reuse processes. The agreement will leverage the complementary expertise and unique capabilities of both partners, officials said. The WaTER Institute has researched and developed modular treatment solutions while Yokogawa is implementing system control and automation. The integration of these approaches sets the stage for more widespread adoption of autonomous water treatment processes.
