Environmental ratings, i.e. Types 1, 3R, 4, 4X, 12, 13 and IP20, IP54, IP66, IP67, and IP69, are a critical part of the design process. UL 50E and IEC 60529, respectively, define the requirements for environmental ratings required for installations.

New manufacturer catalogs are available from Federal Signal (NFPA Data), with 97 new data sets for lights, miscellaneous and signal devices, and Gefran S.p.A., with 1,198 new data sets for amplifiers, controllers, contactors, PLC, protection devices and relays.
