Phoenix Contact: Core Set of Heavy-Duty Connectors

With the new HeavyCORE program, Phoenix Contact customers can receive the company’s most commonly used heavy-duty connector components within days of placing an order. HeavyCORE puts stocking priority on a select group of products that boost productivity, simplify inventory management, and provide versatility during assembly and installation.

The HEAVYCORE line of heavy-duty rectangular connectors comprises thousands of different components that can create more than 70 million different combinations. Many common application requirements, however, can be satisfied with a select set of those components. HeavyCORE components were selected based on their technical innovations, ability to streamline the manufacturing process, and ability to simplify the bill of materials across one or multiple projects.

Timothy Knavish Elected to Rockwell Automation Board of Directors

Rockwell Automation has recently announced that Timothy (Tim) M. Knavish was elected to its board of directors effective Feb. 7, 2024. Tim is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PPG. “Tim has an outstanding record of proven leadership at PPG,” said Blake Moret, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Rockwell. “His experience overseeing acquisitions, fostering a diverse workforce, and managing the operations of a global manufacturing company make Tim an important addition to the diverse talents of our board and source of counsel to me.”

Rittal Enables AI With Modular Cooling Distribution Unit (CDU) Capable of 1 Megawatt (MW) Cooling

In close cooperation with hyperscalers and server OEMs, Rittal has developed a modular cooling distribution unit (CDU) that delivers a cooling capacity of over 1 MW. It was the centerpiece exhibit at Rittal’s booth A24 at the 2024 OCP Global Summit on October 15-17. The CDU uses direct liquid cooling based on water – and is thus an example for new IT infrastructure technologies that are enablers for AI applications.
