Schneider Electric and Allied Electronics & Automation Help Build a Better Control Cabinet

Allied Electronics & Automation and Schneider Electric have expanded the Build a Better Control Cabinet digital hub with the addition of three new tools.

Th new tools and information available on the Build a Better Control Cabinet digital hub include:

  • Access to an EZ Product Selection Tool that takes advantage of Allied’s millions of product datasheets and tens of thousands of 360-degree high-resolution product images to streamline the process of researching, identifying and purchasing industrial control panel components and other products.
     
  • Detailed technical guides from Allied and Schneider Electric on control panel design, machine control solutions and sensor selection.
     
  • An industrial control cabinet product map to help engineers and designers quickly and accurately identify the latest Schneider control panel technologies and capabilities available from Allied.

Recently, Graybar announced that it has acquired Blazer Electric Supply, based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, effective March 1, 2024. Blazer Electric Supply is an electrical distributor that serves construction, commercial, institutional, and industrial customers. The company was founded in 2009 and operates two locations in southern Colorado. As a subsidiary of Graybar, the company will operate under the Blazer Electric Supply name. Trevor Blazer will serve as president, and the company’s employees will continue to support customers with the same products, solutions, and services.

In this update of the EPLAN Data Portal, there are now a total of 492 manufacturers and more than 1,779,000 data sets that are available with the update on July 09, 2024. Companies with updated and new data include: ABB LTD with 180 new data sets for signal devices, sensors, switches and pushbuttons; KEYENCE CORPORATION with 35 new data sets for amplifiers, cables, controllers, PLCs, sensors, switches and pushbuttons; and Rockwell Automation with 27 new and 54 updated data sets for contactors, PLCs, relays and terminals.

Phoenix Contact Awarded IEC 62443 Certificate for PLCnext Control by TÜV SÜD

Phoenix Contact is the first company to receive a certification for a controller (PLC) in accordance with IEC 62443-4-1 ML 3 Full Process Profile in combination with IEC 62443-4-2. This confirms that the secure development life cycle was fully applied in developing the PLCnext Control devices.
