Panduit and General Cable to Showcase Campus Connectivity Solutions at BICSI
April 13, 2020
Panduit, a global manufacturer of innovative electrical and network infrastructure solutions, and General Cable, a global manufacturer of aluminum, copper, and fiber optic wire and cable, will introduce new solutions that enable connectivity between campus buildings during BICSI Winter 2020 Feb. 9-13 in Tampa, Fla. The expanded campus networks offering includes several outdoor-rated enclosures, fiber splice closures, and splicing trays from Panduit, paired with outdoor-rated cables from General Cable, including new hybrid powered fiber cables, which deliver data and power for applications like security cameras and outdoor access points.
The fiber closures are hard molded and hermetically sealed to provide an IP68-rated seal that protects fiber in damp or wet environments. These recently-launched closures pair with fiber splice trays to securely splice fiber either above or below ground. In addition, Panduit has outdoor-rated enclosures for mounting security cameras in outdoor campus spaces.
In the campus space, General Cable offers the industry’s widest breath of copper and fiber cabling options. The offering includes the new GenSPEED indoor/outdoor water impermeable Category 6A plenum rated cable, hybrid fiber/copper cables for extended distances, and a wide range of outside plant constructions, including GenSPEED single mode loose tube outdoor, aerial lashed, duct, and direct buried cables, as well as indoor/outdoor configurations and ribbon fiber for mass fusion termination.
The complete campus network solution can be seen in the Panduit and General Cable booth (#701) at BICSI Winter 2020. In addition, visitors can see how the PanGen offering helps connect digital buildings, along with industrial and data center applications, Panduit and Atlona’s end-to-end AV solution, and General Cable’s extensive cabling portfolio, including new packaging options.
