Phoenix Contact Announces New Process Automation Partner

Phoenix Contact has enhanced its process automation channel by partnering with North East Technical Sales Inc., located in Harleysville, Pa. North East Technical Sales’ expertise in instrumentation for measurement, analysis, and control will complement Phoenix Contact’s technologies, including components for process infrastructure, signal conditioning, and surge protection.

North East Technical Sales is a manufacturer’s representative and distributor of industrial and environmental process controls and monitoring solutions. For more than 40 years, North East Technical has provided process controls to the petroleum, chemical, power, and oil/gas transportation industries. North East Technical Sales brings hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of applications ranging from the plant floor to the top of a storage tank to an office environment. North East Technical Sales will service Phoenix Contact customers in Virginia, Delaware, New Jersey, eastern Maryland, eastern Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C., and parts of New York.

Phoenix Contact: SIL 3-Rated QUINT 10+ Power Supply

The new QUINT 10+ power supply from Phoenix Contact can help achieve SIL 3 rating without external redundancy. The device has an integrated decoupling MOSFET and a redundant overvoltage protection (OVP) circuit, which eliminate the need for external components. The QUINT 10+ power supply has a conformal coating and ATEX, IEC 61508, IEC 61511, and Class I, Division 2 approvals, so it can be mounted within potentially explosive areas (Zone 2).

Change Of Managing Director at Wieland Electric

Bernd P. Uckrow, who previously held the commercial management position, is retiring from Wieland Electric GmbH after the regular expiration of his contract. He hands over an economically stable company, which emerged strengthened from the difficult year of Corona 2020. In his place, Dr. Christian Wahlers will from now on lead the commercial affairs of Wieland Electric and form, together with Dr.-Ing. Börne Rensing, the new dual leadership of the management board.

WAGO Invests at Sondershausen Site EUR 40 Million for New Central Warehouse

WAGO founded its production facility in Sondershausen in 1990. Following the construction of the logistics center in 1999, it has since functioned as WAGO’s global shipping hub. Now, WAGO’s ‘Gateway to the World’ in the Hainleite industrial park will see significant additional expansions. The supplier of interconnection and automation technology is investing 40 million euros in a modern high-bay warehouse, which clearly proclaims its support for the facility in Thuringia.
