OEM clients have high volume panel needs. To help everyone stay on track to meet delivery timelines, UCEC assigns these clients a dedicated OEM relationship manager.

This manager sets regular meetings with the client to share project updates and communicate recommendations for cost savings, panel enhancements and supply chain troubleshooting. Their responsive project managers keep track of all the moving parts of OEM panel building to ensure a quality product with an on-time delivery.

OEM CONTROL PANEL DESIGN CONSULTATION

UCEC have been building quality control panels for more than 63 years. Their skilled craftsmen are accustomed to optimizing panel designs for cost savings, production time and end-user experience.

UCEC offers consultation services to all of their clients to see if they can uncover any new efficiencies in the panel build. They have also worked with OEM clients to create a handful of panel styles ready to be customized for the specific order requirements. This builds in efficiency at every level and creates faster turnaround times for their OEM clients. Consistency and standardization across OEM control panels means increased reliability, functionality and ease of use for the end user.

Once UCEC's OEM Control Panel experts understand the requirements of the panel, they can make recommendations that can cut costs on parts, production and delivery. They’ll be able to advise whether the specified components are the best choice for accomplishing the panel’s goals.

Challenges with the global supply chain are impacting nearly every business right now. Sourcing manufacturing parts is, unfortunately, no exception. UCEC been around for more than half a century so they are resourceful and have long standing relationships with suppliers.

When parts aren’t just slow to come by, but also increasing in price, UCEC works with their vendors to lock in a client’s volume pricing early. UCEC also brokers agreements for their suppliers to keep parts on hand to avoid shipping delays.

That isn't UCEC's only solution, however. If supply issues are threatening a delivery deadline, they know what substitutions to recommend or what components can be assembled in the field.

UCEC works as part of their customer’s team to find solutions that avoid downtime for their business while refusing to compromise on the quality of the control panel.

PERFORMANCE ENHANCEMENTS FOR OEM CONTROL PANELS

UCEC knows their panels inside and out, giving them a deep appreciation for how end users will have to interact with them. Some of their suggestions might focus on how the panel can be built better for that end user or for maintenance. For example, UCEC will be able to tell customers if:

  •    -   all the push buttons in the design would be better served by an HMI.
  •    -   alternate components will reduce thermal load, reducing panel interior temps and increasing life of other equipment.
