Webinar: Efficient Series Machine Manufacturing – Plug-and-Play in the Control Cabinet

The EJxxxx EtherCAT plug-in modules are electronically based on the well-known EtherCAT I/O system and their design allows them to be directly attached to a circuit board. The circuit board is an application-specific signal distribution board that distributes signals and power supply to individual application-specific plug connectors in order to connect the controller to further machine modules. Elaborate manual wiring of single wires, common in conventional control cabinet construction, is replaced by simply plugging in prefabricated cable harnesses. Unit costs are lowered and the risk of incorrect wiring is reduced to a minimum by coded components.

In this 30-minute webinar, Torsten Budde, Product Manager I/O, talks about the elimination of conventional wiring. As a result, the probability of errors is reduced and work processes are simplified. The presentation also deals with the machine-specific connection level. The various implementation scenarios are presented with Beckhoff technology. The speaker will also show how Beckhoff can support the optimization of the machine production.
