Phoenix Contact: Ethernet Switches for Harsh Environments

December 17, 2021

The FL SWITCH 1000NT product family from Phoenix Contact is being extended to include new versions with extended temperature range as well as approvals for the process industry and maritime applications.

The switches feature a robust metal housing, high port density, and overriding prioritization of data traffic for automation protocols. The seven different models are suitable for applications in many industries, such as oil and gas and shipbuilding.

Select models also include SFP ports, providing greater flexibility for customers, dependent on their application, connection, and distance requirements. The robust housing provides the FL SWITCH 1000NT series with a high level of immunity, thereby also enabling the series to be used in challenging applications. Due to the use of energy-efficient Ethernet, the electricity consumption of the switches is also lower.
