AutomationDirect has added SSP safety enabling switches, also known as “hold-to-run” or “dead man’s” switches. When used in conjunction with a properly designed safety system, they provide the operator with a special control mode for tasks such as maintenance or debugging of hazardous equipment. These switches consist of a spring-return three-position (N.O.-N.C.-N.O.) grip button that must be maintained by the operator in the middle position for the machinery to continue operating.
WAGO’s new industrial managed switches make it easy for users to increase the security of their building automation applications. This innovation integrates cybersecurity functions: 128-bit encryption of data packets on two ports. This makes it possible to retrofit secure data transmission in an existing network – regardless of the protocol and without changes in the application.
C&K extends slide switch product family to include new gold plating versions.
STI’s line of Select-Alert sirens/strobes are a highly effective way to alert to unauthorized use, theft or vandalism.
SCHURTER has extended its Metal Line switch series MSM to include a modern ring illuminated dead-front display.
C&K has extended its detect product family to include an ultra-low current version.
Introducing the ZEN-20 I/O from Omron, a 12 Input and 8 Output relay/transistor in one unit. With the Zen-20 I/O programmable relay unit, you can do a lot of larger scale automation where the 10 I/O versions fall short. The 20 I/O unit is available in three different versions: starting with the C1 with LCD display, control/program buttons, calender and clock, then the C2 with LED status indication, and finally the C3 with the same functionality as the C1 but with a fixed I/O.
Ethernet-APL enables a new dimension in field communication: complete asset integration for field devices—regardless of device type, manufacturer and the communication technology, i.e. via Ethernet-APL or Profibus PA. Both technologies can be operated simultaneously on the same network infrastructure. In addition, FDI (Field Device Integration) technology ensures a uniform visualization and operation of field devices.
AutomationDirect has added new phase and voltage monitoring relays from ProSense. The PMRU-2C series true RMS phase monitor relays protect 3-phase equipment from damage that can occur when there is a phase loss, phase reversal, phase unbalance, undervoltage, or overvoltage condition. These relays are designed to provide protection for most generator systems and applications that use non-sinusoidal waveforms.
Long-life tungsten contacts with a higher power and high current carry capabilities enable Series 67 reed relays to be used in high-performance applications where high reliability is demanded.
A first to market solution, the surface-mount K12S 12N keyswitch offers more than 1-million actuation cycles.
Ethernet expandable I/O modules from Acromag now offer field-selectable EtherNet/IP or Modbus TCP/IP networking protocol.
AutomationDirect has added new Captron Caneo Series10 and Series41 pushbuttons to expand their offering of capacitive pushbutton switches. Capacitive pushbuttons utilize touch control and are activated without pressure when a hand or body part nears the device’s surface. Series10 switches, suitable for a wide range applications, feature 360° visibility and are available in standard, stainless steel, and hygienic EHEDG-certified models.
Teledyne Relays launches four new reed relay product families, all offering extremely long life of up to 1-billion cycles, ideal for applications where high reliability is essential.
