TE Connectivity (TE) completes acquisition of Silicon Microstructures Inc.

 

Measurement Specialties Inc., a subsidiary of TE Connectivity Ltd. (NYSE: TEL), a global industrial technology company with leading positions in connectivity and sensing solutions, completed the previously announced acquisition of Silicon Microstructures Inc. from Elmos Semiconductor AG (XTRA: ELG) on Sept. 30.

Siemens 3SK1 Advanced basic units can be made more flexible.The 3SK1220 input expansion allows additional sensors to be integrated easily and flexibly. The device monitors two single-channel sensors or one two-channel sensor, whatever their output technology (floating/single-ended). The 3SK1230 power supply makes the 3SK1 devices universally usable, whatever control supply voltage is to be used. Alongside the 3ZY12 device connector, the 3SK1230 power supply can also be wired to act as a power supply for 3SK1 devices.

Omron E2E NEXT Proximity Sensors Increase Sensing Distance

Omron Automation Americas has released 2,500 new models of its E2E NEXT proximity sensor series that offers long sensing distances and IoT functionality. E2E sensors are designed to help manufacturers reduce potential causes of unplanned downtime while benefiting from the sensors’ environmental resistance. The addition of IO-Link functionality enables the sensors to reduce recovery time by indicating the location and cause of failures.
