Mitsubishi Electric Automation: Common DC Bus Servo Drive Solution

Mitsubishi Electric Automation, Inc. is announcing the release of the common DC bus servo drive (MELSERVO-J5D) solution. MELSERVO-J5D servo amplifiers are ideal for medium to large servo applications that require multiple drive units capable of managing regenerative energy. Available in 400V and 1kW to 7kW capacity, MELSERVO-J5D servo amplifiers expand the existing drive capabilities for the MELSERVO-J5 portfolio and are compatible with MELSERVO-J5 servo motors (HK-KT/ST/RT/MT).

binder now offers connectors with D-coding in the M8 form factor as part of its 818 product series. The products are ideal for Industrial Ethernet applications with communication protocols such as EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP or PROFINET according to IEEE 802.3 via twisted-pair cables of the Cat-5e category. Accordingly, the 4-pin connectors enable the network connection of actuators and sensors of particularly small size with data rates of up to 100 Mbit/s.

ABB launches its new CP-S.1 range of primary switch mode 24 V DC power supplies, combining efficiency and reliability with an unrivalled power-to-space ratio. With an efficiency of up to 94 percent, the CP-S.1 24/40.0 power supply is able to generate a 1.4 ton CO2 saving over a typical lifetime of ten years – compared to a device with 92 percent efficiency. This is equivalent to the same amount of CO2 required to charge 160,000 smartphones.
