Production personnel can work safely and efficiently using the new Allen-Bradley 450L Perimeter Access Control (PAC) GuardShield safety light curtains from Rockwell Automation. Subject to risk assessment, light curtains eliminate the need for hard guarding and gates, while allowing frequent, easier and safe access to hazardous areas. Designed for whole-body detection, PAC light curtains are typically positioned around an area or in front of a machine entry or exit that poses a moderate to high risk of operator injury.
The new configurable Series 09 in-cabin keypads from EAO are developed in accordance with IATF 16949 and can be combined within a modular design – for reliable and safe E1 applications in the interiors of heavy-duty and special vehicles.
PACSystems RXi HMI delivers visualization for the digital age: intuitive graphics, smartphone-like usability, collaboration from anywhere and industrial ruggedness.
Modern ship technology is inconceivable without automation systems. In many cases, the requirements are similar to those in the industry: recording, evaluating and monitoring a constantly growing number of signals; then converting the results into control commands within a defined time. On a ship, automation faces additional, very specific requirements: Space is usually even more limited than on land.
In a southern Germany hospital, 225 patient beds were equipped with new flexible monitors, making the screen position easy to change. However, due to poor quality cabling, the monitors did not withstand the stresses associated with everyday use. HELUKABEL took a closer look at the problem and found a solution by supplying a much stronger cable with greater durability that is typically applied to machine control panels.
AutomationDirect has added RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) Read/Write modules from Contrinex. RFID technology uses radio frequencies to read and write data to/from electronic labels called tags. As opposed to standard barcode readers, RFID technology doesn’t require a line of sight between the tag and the Read/Write module to operate, and tags store a large amount of data that can be edited.
STI’s line of Select-Alert sirens/strobes are a highly effective way to alert to unauthorized use, theft or vandalism.
Multiple mounting options are now available for OKW’s ART-CASE modular plastic enclosures for modern desktop, mobile, wall and ceiling electronics.
