CUI Devices: M8 Connector Models

CUI Devices’ Interconnect Group recently announced the addition of M8 connector types to its line of circular connectors. The CDM8 family offers a range of male or female jack versions with contact position options of 3, 4, 5, 6, or 8 pins. These M8 connectors are A coded to support 1 Gbit Ethernet or B coded for Profibus, while carrying IP67 ratings to deal with harsh environments found in industrial and factory automation applications.

Emerson: New I/O Interface Software Helps Future-Proof Operations, Reduce Modernization Costs up to 40%

Emerson has recently released DeltaV IO.CONNECT, a new subscription software service designed to help plants simplify modernization with an open architecture pathway that makes it possible to transition to more efficient control schemes without the need to completely overhaul existing infrastructure. In a traditional plant with tens of thousands of I/O points and many controllers, this can save hundreds or thousands of hours of labor and up to 40% of the capital required for a total rip-and-replace upgrade.

The fieldbus gateway Type ME43 is the central control unit for Bürkert products (valves, sensors, mass flow controllers or displays), which are based on EDIP (“Efficient Device Integration Platform”).
