Type 8743 and Type 8744 serve both as a mass flow controller (MFC) with a proportional valve and a mass flow meter (MFM). Both types rely on a media-separated capillary sensor made of 316L/1.4404 stainless steel with a nominal flow rate (QNom) ranging from 0.01 lN/min to 100 lN/min (nitrogen). Capillary sensors use a non-contact measuring principle. The sensor components themselves have no direct contact with the gas. This makes Type 8743 and Type 8744 particularly chemically resistant to many aggressive gases.

The new EL336x and EL336x-0100 series of weighing technology terminals can be used to directly connect resistance bridges (strain gages) or load cells. 24-bit resolution, a 10-ksps sampling rate, and full bridge support enable precise recording of weight, strain, or torque. Integrated voltage generation from the terminal power contacts is used to supply the bridge directly and can be varied between 5 V and 10 V. The basic EL336x variant of the two terminals also has a combined digital input/output for each channel, which can be used for other functions such as local control of the output directly dependent on the analog value at the input.

ifm efector, inc. recently introduced its new MVQ301 process valve positioner. The positioner is the third-installation in ifm’s MVQ series of pneumatic quarter-turn valve sensors. Supported by IO-Link, the MVQ301 is a valve positioner that also functions as a valve sensor, providing accurate feedback while positioning the solenoid valve to an exact degree.
