Improve Safety With SecureConnect Technology for CENTERLINE 2500 MCCS

Improving plant safety is always a top priority. New CENTERLINE 2500 Motor Control Centers with SecureConnect technology help reduce exposure to electrical hazards by disconnecting power from the vertical power bus in an individual unit with the door closed. The handles on the exterior of SecureConnect units have four operating positions: connected, test, disconnected and released. A plunger near the handle can also be locked out for added safety.

Safe and Reliable Power Protection With ABB’s Innovative Medium-Voltage Circuit Breaker

Safe and Reliable Power Protection With ABB’s Innovative Medium-Voltage Circuit Breaker

ABB enlarges its market-leading portfolio of medium-voltage circuit breakers featuring the all new VD4-CS with servomotor actuation and new, space-saving vacuum interrupter technology. The VD4-CS supports business needs in reactive power compensation: there is no longer a need of inrush limiting reactors because the innovative breaker limits inrush by itself. VD4-CS advanced technology addresses the main technical challenges of capacitive load switching.

Phoenix Contact: Four-Wire Surge Protective Device

Phoenix Contact: Four-Wire Surge Protective Device

Phoenix Contact has added four-wire surge protective devices (SPDs) to the TERMITRAB Complete family. The new TTC-6P-4 pluggable SPDs protect against overvoltages on four conductors in a width of only 6 mm. That is only 1.5 mm per conductor. The new additions are designed for measurement and control applications, such as very precise temperature and weight measurements, that are sensitive to impedance.

LUTZE: Current Control Allows Selective Safeguarding

LUTZE: Current Control Allows Selective Safeguarding

The new LCOS CC/CCI current controls allow selective safeguarding of individual DC 24 V circuits that each have different shutdown behaviors. In case of an overload or a short in DC 24 V circuits, the LÜTZE current control LCOS CC/CCI only shuts down the faulty current path without impacting on the supply. To meet the various industrial requirements relating to shutdown behavior, the LCOS modules allow five different characteristics to be set via a switch: fast, medium, slow 1, slow 2 and slow 3.
