On October 9, 2019 B&R teamed up with ABB to launch the first dedicated global healthcare research hub at the Texas Medical Center (TMC) innovation campus in Houston. B&R Industrial Automation, a member of the ABB Group, demonstrated their ACOPOStrak intelligent track technology, which seamlessly integrates with robots to enable an adaptive machine that automates tasks requiring high variability, precision and mass customization.

Pepperl+Fuchs recently celebrated the grand opening of its new United States Distribution Center (UDC) located in Katy, Texas. An over $25 million investment that spans an area of 110,000 square feet, the state-of-the-art distribution center serves as the central warehouse from which Pepperl+Fuchs distributes more than 10,000 products worldwide.

Measurement Specialties Inc., a subsidiary of TE Connectivity Ltd. (NYSE: TEL), a global industrial technology company with leading positions in connectivity and sensing solutions, completed the previously announced acquisition of Silicon Microstructures Inc. from Elmos Semiconductor AG (XTRA: ELG) on Sept. 30.

nVent Electric plc  has completed the previously announced acquisition of Eldon Holding AB, a privately held European-based enclosures business, for a cash purchase price of approximately $128 million, including repayment of Eldon debt. nVent is a global manufacturer of enclosures, providing innovative solutions that protect, connect and manage heat in critical electronics, communication, control and power equipment through its nVent HOFFMAN and nVent SCHROFF brands.

During the visit they discussed the impact and opportunities Earth Scout (a newly launched IoT environment sensor) had on local Minnesota agriculture and how it could help improve soil health and yields across the region.
