ABB has appointed Joerg Theis as President of ABB’s Machine Automation Division (B&R), effective April 1, 2021. He succeeds Clemens Sager, who managed the division ad interim since January 1, 2021. Theis is a 23-year veteran of ABB. He has deep experience in process and factory automation in Consumer Goods, Pharmaceutical, F&B, Hybrid Industries and Automotive, amongst other segments, with a focus on developing digital services offerings.
Mersen has recently announced that it has repurchased the stake held by the Hager Group in Fusetech, thereby acquiring full control of the company based in Kaposvar, Hungary. This operation enables Mersen to strengthen its manufacturing efficiency on Europe’s electric fuse market, and to integrate a high-performance site for the manufacture of some of its future product ranges in accordance with European standards (IEC).

Rockwell Automation, Inc. has recently announced that Nicholas Gangestad will join the company as senior vice president and chief financial officer on March 1. He will report to Rockwell Chairman and CEO Blake Moret. Gangestad joins Rockwell after a long career with 3M, where he most recently served as the company’s chief financial officer and oversaw all aspects of the financial organization including compliance, financial planning, treasury, and tax.

At the company’s virtual Annual Shareholders’ Meeting on February 3, 2021, shareholders also confirmed, by a large majority, Supervisory Board Chairman Jim Hagemann Snabe (55) for another four-year term of office.
Galco Industrial Electronics (Galco), an industrial electronic components distributor, announced that Allison Sabia has been appointed as its new Chief Executive Officer as of February 1, 2021, replacing long-time CEO Mike Conwell, who is retiring. Ms. Sabia joined Galco as President and Chief Operating Officer in November 2020, bringing with her extensive experience in distribution, digital marketing and eCommerce.
Littelfuse, Inc. recently announced it has acquired Hartland Controls. Headquartered in Rock Falls, Illinois, Hartland Controls is a manufacturer and leading supplier of electrical components used primarily in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) and other industrial and control systems applications. For 2020, Hartland Controls had sales of approximately $70 million.
