Rockwell Automation Names Emmanuel Guilhamon New Vice President of Sustainability

Rockwell Automation recently announced that Emmanuel Guilhamon was named vice president, Sustainability, effective July 1. In this role, Guilhamon is responsible for developing, leading, and executing Rockwell’s global sustainability strategy that is focused on delivering three outcomes: sustainable customers, a sustainable company, and sustainable communities. He leads the corporate sustainability team, which provides thought leadership and works with internal and external partners to align on and deliver the company’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitments and to facilitate the development of solutions that help manufacturers achieve their sustainability goals.

UL Solutions and Siemens Collaborate on Smart Building Assessments Through SPIRE Qualification Program

UL Solutions recently announced its collaboration with Siemens, a provider of smart building technologies, through the SPIRE qualification program that expands access to expert resources and helps the smart building industry meet the rising demand for building assessments. Through the SPIRE qualification program, Siemens assessors will perform a SPIRE Smart Building Assessment and submit findings for independent review by UL Solutions.

The exclusive event allowed students of Franklin Electric employees to tour corporate headquarters, gain insights into the water systems industry, and learn about STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) careers in a real-world setting. Students participated in interactive tours that allowed them to explore the company’s state-of-the-art research, development, and testing facilities.

Eaton Names Paulo Ruiz President and COO Effective September 2, 2024; Ruiz to Succeed Craig Arnold as CEO on June 1, 2025

The Board of Directors of intelligent power management company Eaton has recently named Paulo Ruiz president and chief operating officer of Eaton and a member of the board of directors, effective September 2, 2024. Ruiz will be appointed chief executive officer of Eaton on June 1, 2025. He succeeds Craig Arnold, who will retire on May 31, 2025, having reached Eaton’s mandatory officer retirement age of 65. Mr. Arnold has been Eaton’s chairman and chief executive officer since June 2016.  Additionally, effective June 1, 2025, Gregory R. Page will become the non-executive chair of the Eaton Board of Directors.

nVent Electric plc has recently announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to sell its Thermal Management business (“Thermal Management”), which includes the RAYCHEM and TRACER brands, to funds managed by Brookfield Asset Management for a cash purchase price of $1.7 billion, subject to customary closing adjustments. With 2023 sales of $595 million and approximately 1,700 employees around the world, Thermal Management is a provider of mission critical electrical thermal solutions. The sale will enable Thermal Management to further build on its positions and differentiated solutions to drive growth across its verticals and expand with the energy transition.
