Gary Young, Boston Sales Manager, Retires After 30 Years with OmniCable

Gary Young, Boston Sales Manager, retires on February 2, 2024, after more than 30 years with OmniCable. Young joined OmniCable as a management trainee in 1993 and has held various roles, from wire cutter and striper to Account Manager and, most recently, Sales Manager. “Gary’s leadership and fun-loving attitude will be missed,” said Victor Lewis, Boston’s Regional Manager. His contribution to our culture and his selflessness towards our team helped us grow to where we are today. Gary is irreplaceable, and I am proud to have learned what it is to be a great salesperson, manager, and man from him.”

EPLAN Data Portal Update 02 January 2024

In this update of the EPLAN Data Portal, there are now a total of 479 manufacturers and more than 1,633,000 data sets are available with the update on January 30, 2024. New manufacturer catalogs are available from Guangdon Kossi Intelligent Technology Co. Ltd. with 215 new data sets for amplifiers, controllers and motors, and Servotronix Motion Control Ltd. with 14 new data sets for amplifiers and controllers.

Phoenix Contact has joined the Virtual Protection Automation and Control (vPAC) Alliance. vPAC is a technical consortium working to accelerate the digitalization of substation architecture. “Distributed energy resources (DERs) are putting more demand on the electric power grid than ever before. To keep up with this demand, utilities will need to look to new technologies to help scale their substation architectures,” said Ben Prier, senior business development manager for electric power at Phoenix Contact USA.

Gary Yu Promotion to President of Diodes Incorporated Announced

On Boxing Day of 2023, Diodes Incorporated announced that as part of a multi-year CEO succession plan its board of directors has approved the promotion of Gary Yu to President effective January 2, 2024. Dr. Keh-Shew Lu will continue to serve as Chairman and CEO until at least May 31, 2027, which is consistent with his current employment agreement. Mr. Yu joined Diodes in 2008 and currently serves as Chief Operating Officer, a position he was appointed to in February 2023.
