In this update of the EPLAN Data Portal, there are now a total of 511 manufacturers and more than 1,900,000 data sets that are available with the latest updates in October 2024. New manufacturer catalogs are available from Akusense with 2,137 new data sets for sensors, switches and pushbuttons, Detas SpA with 1 new data set for housing accessories and external extensions, FUJI TERMINA INDUSTRY Co., LTD. with 16 new data sets for general products, and Quantum Devices with 10,032 new data sets for cables.

UL Solutions Inc. has recently reported results for their third quarter which ended September 30, 2024. “This is our third quarterly report since becoming a public company and I’m very pleased that our results extended our momentum from the first half of 2024, with all segments and regions contributing positively,” said President and CEO Jennifer Scanlon. “We achieved 9.3% organic revenue growth, Adjusted EBITDA margin expansion and continued to generate substantial cash flow as we served our customers in more than 110 countries. Certification testing in Industrial and Consumer segments showed particular strength reflecting megatrends and contributions from recent lab investments.”

Intelligent power management company Eaton has recently announced the appointment of Omar Zaire to president, Corporate and Electrical Sector, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. Zaire succeeds Tim Darkes, who has announced his upcoming retirement from Eaton, effective June 1, 2025. Zaire will report to Heath Monesmith, Chief Operating Officer, Electrical Sector, and will join Eaton’s senior leadership team.

Rittal Enables AI With Modular Cooling Distribution Unit (CDU) Capable of 1 Megawatt (MW) Cooling

In close cooperation with hyperscalers and server OEMs, Rittal has developed a modular cooling distribution unit (CDU) that delivers a cooling capacity of over 1 MW. It was the centerpiece exhibit at Rittal’s booth A24 at the 2024 OCP Global Summit on October 15-17. The CDU uses direct liquid cooling based on water – and is thus an example for new IT infrastructure technologies that are enablers for AI applications.
