Phoenix Contact’s new BOXTRAB surge protective device (SPD) combines protection for power, data, and signal within the same enclosure. In the process industries, instrumentation requires both power and signal/data control lines. Equipment users often protect these circuits with two dedicated surge protectors: one for power and one for signal. BOXTRAB provides an all-inclusive suppression system comprising independently configured protection arrays within a single enclosure to safeguard both the instrument’s power and signal lines.

The EJxxxx EtherCAT plug-in modules are electronically based on the well-known EtherCAT I/O system and their design allows them to be directly attached to a circuit board.
