Schlegel: Modular Operating Concept for Bus Systems

The great advantage of the modular operating concept is the connection of several expansion modules via a basic module and the associated saving of costs. Only the basic module includes the bus-specific bus connection and the bus node which communicates with the corresponding bus system. Thus, the basic module is the most complex module of the total package.

JW Winco: Precise and Reliable Couplers

Couplings from JW Winco transmit rotary motions and torques from shaft to shaft. They also even out tolerances and mechanical deflection that would otherwise result in damage to drive or measurement configurations. Winco’s portfolio includes a coupling solution for practically every situation. Like all mechanical parts, shafts are subject to manufacturing and assembly tolerances that generally cannot be entirely eliminated even with extensive technical measures.

Weidmüller u-remote Meets the Requirements of the Largest Classification Societies for Use in Maritime and Offshore Applications

Modern ship technology is inconceivable without automation systems. In many cases, the requirements are similar to those in the industry: recording, evaluating and monitoring a constantly growing number of signals; then converting the results into control commands within a defined time. On a ship, automation faces additional, very specific requirements: Space is usually even more limited than on land.

AutomationDirect: Contrinex RFID R/W Units

AutomationDirect has added RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) Read/Write modules from Contrinex. RFID technology uses radio frequencies to read and write data to/from electronic labels called tags. As opposed to standard barcode readers, RFID technology doesn’t require a line of sight between the tag and the Read/Write module to operate, and tags store a large amount of data that can be edited.
