RS recently announced the launch of a new circuit simulator tool for use by the 1.3 million members of the DesignSpark engineering community. The announcement coincides with the 13th anniversary of DesignSpark, which was on July 5th, 2010. In partnership with Siemens Digital Industries Software’s PartQuest Explore team, all DesignSpark members, regardless of their subscription option, will have access to the new DesignSpark Circuit Simulator tool. The EL2068 digital output terminal connects the binary control signals of the automation device to the actuators at process level with electrical isolation. This EtherCAT Terminal contains eight channels, which display their signal status by means of LEDs. The integrated diagnostics can be evaluated in the controller and are indicated by the LEDs. A diagnostic bit is set for the affected channel if there is an overload. The diagnostics serve to simplify the maintenance of the application.
