Panduit will be introducing a new line of Single Pair Ethernet connectivity at Rockwell Automation Fair 2020. Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) is a newly standardized communication technology that extends 2- and 4- pair ethernet to devices for both industrial control and building automation. It provides an evolution in device connectivity by standardizing how devices can integrate into existing software platforms without gateways.
Standardized interfaces offer many advantages and allow, among other things, a flexible adaptation of production facilities to new requirements. This also applies to plastics and rubber processing machines. Here EUROMAP, the umbrella organization of European plastics and rubber machine manufacturers, has defined standards for interface requirements, including 16 Euromap recommendations for the heavy-duty connector sector.
Energy bus systems show their strengths wherever systems have to be supplied with energy over long distances. Whether airports, warehouses or distribution centers – when projects are designed internationally, the planning and, above all, the acceptance of the electrical systems often pose a major challenge for project planners and designers. The effort involved can be greatly simplified if the components used have the appropriate approvals.
Acromag’s newest digital panel meters are powered by the 4-20mA loop with options for isolated analog output and/or solid-state relays. The VPM2000 Series loop-powered digital panel meters have a large LCD display and is certified non-incendive intrinsically safe.
DATA MODUL presents the easyTOUCH Plus display series that enables flexible and individual implementation options that cater to customers’ requirements.
Arieltech was pleased to announce recently that they have secured UL approval for their Heater line, with CE compliant, UL and cUL recognized certificates under the file number E515368. This heater line provides protection from condensation and low temperatures in Control Panels, Electronic Enclosures, and Hydraulic and Pneumatic machinery.
B&R has made centralized, factory-level user management substantially easier. With the new software component mapp UserX, it is now possible to use services based on LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) to implement centralized management of users and user groups, for example using Active Directory from Microsoft.
The Belgian machine builder Marelec develops machinery for portioning processes, in which meat or fish is sliced into portions of an exact, specified weight. These machines from the “Portio” series have a minimum of 17 cutting movements per second. To ensure they are not only highly productive but also safe, Pilz developed an appropriate safety concept to Performance Level PL e.
PC-based control technology from Beckhoff, which has already been used successfully for almost three decades in all areas of industrial automation, has recently become an integral component of smart wind turbine automation. Beckhoff will present mainly measurement and condition monitoring as integrated parts of New Automation Technology.
To simplify management of industrial applications and devices, Rockwell Automation has updated its ThinManager software. The latest release of the thin client management software includes new content delivery methods. Improvements in the software include a new web browser display client that does not rely on Remote Desktop Services. This new application delivery method provides greater flexibility for delivering content and paves the way for more display client options in future releases.
nVent Electric plc will be introducing its new nVent HOFFMAN RackChiller CDU800 Coolant Distribution Unit (CDU) during the virtual SC20 conference, November 17-19, 2020. The RackChiller CDU expands nVent’s data center cooling portfolio to support high-density liquid cooling for high performance computing (HPC), hyperscale, enterprise and edge applications.
Littelfuse announces energy-efficient, compact disconnect switches that quickly break or resume the flow of current safely. Offered in both 250 and 400 amperage ratings, the DC Disconnect Switch product line prevents shock hazards when isolating circuits or repairing systems.
The HiTemp ETX Series is Laird Thermal Systems’ latest thermoelectric product offering that is specifically designed for emerging spot cooling applications in high temperature environments. The HiTemp ETX Series uses the latest thermoelectric materials and robust construction to assure long life operation in many critical applications such as imaging in outdoor environments.
