Siemens: SDV7 Medium-Voltage Outdoor Distribution Circuit Breakers Are Now UL Listed

Siemens is proud to announce that its SDV7 family of medium-voltage outdoor distribution circuit breakers has been verified by UL Solutions to meet the requirements found in the relevant industry standards (IEEE Standard C37.04 and IEEE Standard C37.09, respectively).

Additionally, through rigorous tests, UL Solutions determined that these circuit breakers meet the safety requirements of IEEE Standard C37.20.7, “Guide for Testing Switchgear Rated Up to 52 kV for Internal Arcing Faults.”

A testament to the quality and reliability of Siemens’ SDV7 circuit breakers, the UL verification provides a reliable benchmark for product quality and performance. The benefits for utilities and EPCs include:

  • Confirmed compliance to industry standards;
  • Reduced legal liability and engineering effort to independently verify manufacturers’ test results; and
  • Ensured customer confidence in product quality and safety.

SDV7 circuit breakers are available in a variety of ratings and configurations, making them ideal for use in a variety of systems including primary distribution systems, substation feeder applications as well as industrial and commercial power plants.
