Contec: BX-M4600 Series of Fanless High-Performance Embedded PCs with 12th/13th-Generation Intel Core Processors

Contec Co., Ltd. has developed the BX-M4600 Series BOX Computer (hereafter referred to as the “new product”), a line of fanless high-performance embedded PCs with 12th/13th-generation Intel Core processors. Contec began taking orders for these new products on July 2, 2024.
The new BX-M4600 are the top-of-the-line high-performance models in the fanless BOX Computer BX Series, featuring 12th/13th-generation Intel Core (Alder Lake-S/Raptor Lake-S) high-power desktop PC CPUs. Each product is equipped with various interfaces such as a DVI-I port and DisplayPort, two LAN ports, four USB 3.2 Gen 2 (USB 3.1) ports and two USB 2.0 ports, three RS-232C ports, one RS-232C/422/485 port, and one DIO port. Storage includes two slot-in 2.5-inch SATA disk slots that allow for separation of the OS and data.
As the top BX Series models, the new BX-M4600 Series offers an advanced edge computing environment for factory automation with processing speeds about 1.9 times greater than conventional models. These new products are ideal for fields requiring advanced multiprocessing such as transportation, social infrastructure, medical equipment, security, and amusement.

The BX-M4600 Series is equipped with power-saving and high-performance CPUs, providing advanced computing and graphical performance even with minimal power requirements. Reliable supply is ensured by the adoption of embedded CPUs. - Power Failure Protection system for reliable operation with no OS shutdown required (Japanese model)
The Power Failure Protection™ system protects data and prohibits writing to storage in the event of a power failure. When used together with the Windows 10 IoT Enterprise lockdown (disk write suppression) feature, power can be safely turned off even without performing a shutdown process. This also helps prevent corruption of the file system and data due to sudden power loss. - High-security design contributing to a reliable system
This series features TPM2.0 and secure boot security functions as well as Contec’s proprietary USB boot protection, and is designed with the security required for industrial applications. - Fanless design that reduces maintenance and inspection operations
By adopting a spindleless design with no CPU fan, this series prevents dust and foreign materials from entering the system and reduces the use of components that deteriorate with age as much as possible, greatly reducing maintenance and inspection burdens. - Removal prevention fittings and securing cable ties to prevent problems caused by cable disconnections
The securing cable ties help prevent disconnections of USB cables and other connectors that are not equipped with locking mechanisms, making it possible to prevent problems from occurring.
