Wieland Electric presents the latest generation of highly efficient safety light grids and curtains
The more complex machines and systems in modern manufacturing and logistics environments become, the more important the issue of occupational safety becomes. Against this background, Wieland Electric presents its latest generation of safety light curtains and safety light grids, which complement the existing portfolio of optoelectronic protective devices and are characterized by a high degree of safety, flexibility and user-friendliness.
The new SLG4 series safety light grids have been developed for applications that require reliable access protection for large areas on machines or in production halls. Reaches of up to 70 m can be realized with just a single system. Thanks to the simple configuration without software and the plug & play installation of the basic variants, the light grids can be put into operation quickly. Clearly visible LEDs also allow quick on-site diagnostics, which minimizes downtimes. In addition, the robust aluminum housing and protection class IP65/67 in accordance with EN 60529 ensure that the optoelectronic protective devices function reliably even under demanding environmental conditions.
The safety light curtains in the SLC4 series are ideal for finger and hand protection directly in the danger zone of machines. Particularly when the machine is accessed frequently, they reduce access times compared to physical guards and therefore increase productivity. Advanced functions such as muting enable a safe material flow and contribute to cost-efficient material supply and removal. Cascading two units also allows vertical access and horizontal presence monitoring with a single system. Just like the SLG4 safety light grids, the SLC4 safety light curtains are characterized by simple configuration without software and the possibility of quick on-site diagnostics. This helps to increase efficiency and safety in industrial applications.
