Gary Young, Boston Sales Manager, Retires After 30 Years with OmniCable

Gary Young, Boston Sales Manager, retires on February 2, 2024, after more than 30 years with OmniCable.

Young joined OmniCable as a management trainee in 1993 and has held various roles, from wire cutter and striper to Account Manager and, most recently, Sales Manager.

“Gary’s leadership and fun-loving attitude will be missed,” said Victor Lewis, Boston’s Regional Manager. His contribution to our culture and his selflessness towards our team helped us grow to where we are today. Gary is irreplaceable, and I am proud to have learned what it is to be a great salesperson, manager, and man from him.”

During his retirement, Gary Young plans to spend more time traveling with his wife and children.

EPLAN Data Portal Update 01 February 2024

In this update of the EPLAN Data Portal, there are now a total of 481 manufacturers and more than 1,636,000 data sets are available with the update on February 14, 2024. New manufacturer catalogs are available from Changzhou Chuanglian Power Supply Technology Co. Ltd. with 107 new data sets for voltage sources and generators, and Nanjiang Huatai Automation Technology Co., Ltd. with 17 new data sets for PLCs.

Calvin Butler to Join Emerson’s Board of Directors

Emerson has recently announced the election of Calvin Butler, President and Chief Executive Officer of Exelon, to its Board of Directors, effective August 1, 2024. He will serve on the Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee.  Effective August 1, 2024, the Emerson Board will expand to 12 members.    Butler is a seasoned public company executive with significant operational and leadership experience in the energy industry. He has led Exelon, one of the nation’s largest utility companies, as President and CEO since 2022 and served in a variety of leadership roles during his 16-year tenure at the company.

The Siemens SIMOVAC medium-voltage non-arc-resistant and SIMOVAC-AR arc-resistant controllers have a modular design incorporating up to two 12SVC400 (400 A) controllers, housed in a freestanding sheet steel enclosure.
