BCL Enclosures Develops IP66-rated Stainless Steel Enclosures for Wash-Down Applications

BCL Enclosures’ announces its new BEDSS Stainless Steel Series of lockable, solid door enclosures. The BEDSS Enclosure Series is designed to provide high-quality, secure, cost-effective protection for specialist and demanding electronic and electrical installations. The BEDSS Enclosure Series is IP66 rated to protect contents against water and dust and is also able to withstand impact to IK10 specifications and extremes of temperature ranging between – 20 degree C and +55 degree C.
Suitable applications for BEDSS enclosures include corrosive environments, such as those found in the chemical and petrochemical industries, plus environments where strict hygiene is required, for example, the agro food sector.
The rugged BEDSS enclosure range is manufactured from grade 304 stainless steel as standard, with marine grade 316 stainless steel available on request. They are supplied as a complete kit including a metal lock and key and a 2mm galvanised steel back mounting plate with spacers. The enclosures come complete with an earth strap pre-wired and fitted between the door and the housing to save valuable installation time.
The BEDSS range provides the perfect solution for protecting delicate components in environments that demand very high standards of security and cleanliness, for example where hygiene must be maintained, such as hospitals, dental and veterinary practices, in addition to a whole host of other industries, such as food manufacturing. The marine grade 316 stainless steel versions also suit installations subject to salt water and will not corrode.
This comprehensive range is available from October 2021 in six different sizes, ranging from 300mm high x 200mm wide x 150mm deep to 500mm high x 500mm wide x 200mm deep, so offering installers a wide choice capable of accommodating most applications.
