Pilz vs The Supply Chain

Everyone is well aware of the current supply situation with steel and chips becoming tighter worldwide. Now, plastics have been added to the list as well. This has resulted in extended delivery times or even complete supply failures.

Under these most difficult conditions, Pilz has chosen a more unconventional path to ensure customers can continue to obtain the safety relays they need. When Pilz could no longer procure a sufficient amount of plastic granulate in their signature ‘green’ color, they improvised and used transparent plastic instead.

Therefore, beginning mid-September, 2021, Pilz will be suppling some of their products with transparent plastic housings – guaranteed to have the same specification and corresponding certifications. This includes the safety relays PNOZsigma, the small control systems PNOZmulti and the monitoring relays PMDsigma. The characteristic yellow panels of the products remain unchanged.

Pilz continues to do everything possible to guarantee their ability to deliver, even in difficult times – utilizing unconventional measures when necessary.
