Norstat: Micron Light Curtains for Detection, Measurement and Object Recognition

Norstat now offers a Light Curtain line from ReeR, SpA that are specifically designed for the measurement , detection and recognition of objects.
The Micron line of Light Curtains from ReeR are designed for industrial or civilian applications where it is necessary to detect, measure, or recognize specific objects or shapes. Depending on the number and position of the beams engaged by an object, the measurement sensors can provide real time information to a PLC or PC. These light curtains can also perform counts, detect positions, shapes or the profile of an object. They can also accurately measure the dimensions of an object . The Micron configuration software for PC, with graphic user interface, is supplied with each light curtain. There are 5 versions available including models with I/O link protocol making the Micron the ideal solution for applications such as automated warehouses, conveyor belts, quality control verification, loop control or general detection and shape recognition.
Available beams spacings are 5, 10, 25, 30 , 50 and 75 mm. Controlled heights are 150 mm to 3000 mm for models with beams spacing of 10, 25, 30, 50, 75 mm and 150 mm to 1500 mm for models with beams spacing of 5 mm. Available detection ranges are between 2.5m to 18m. Connections are accomplished with M12 connectors for easy set up with LED lighting shows real time operational status and diagnostics. A protection rating of IP65 and IP 67 makes the Micron suitable for applications where more aggressive or harsher conditions exist.
