RS Becomes Key U.S. Stocking Distributor for Siemens Process Instrumentation Products
RS recently became a key U.S. stocking distributor for Siemens Process Instrumentation products, which were previously only available as configure-to-order solutions that had to be sourced directly from Siemens. The Siemens Process Instrumentation product line offers a wide range of temperature, pressure, and level measurement solutions that are engineered for seamless integration with most industrial automation and control systems and designed to deliver reliable, high-precision performance in a variety of challenging industrial environments.
Emerson Introduces Industry’s First Pneumatic Valve System with Embedded Wireless Connectivity
Emerson has recently introduced a wireless automatic recovery module (ARM) for its AVENTICS G3 electronic fieldbus platform that makes it easy for technicians to perform pneumatic valve system commissioning and diagnostics from a mobile phone, tablet or laptop computer.

Yokogawa Electric Corporation recently announced that Yokogawa and Shell have jointly developed Platform for Advanced Control and Estimation R5.03 and would release it on June 2 as a solution under the OpreX Asset Operations and Optimization family. Platform for Advanced Control and Estimation is a software suite that brings together Shell’s advanced plant process control technology and Yokogawa’s real-time control technology to help customers improve productivity by increasing product yield and reducing energy consumption.

Allied Electronics & Automation: Cross Wrenches & Control Cabinet Key
These tools are a range of multi-purpose enclosure key wrenches designed for use within maintenance & service applications. The four arms of the tool offer five differing drive possibilities: 6.5 mm (1/4 in) & 8.1 mm (5/16 in) square sockets, 6.4 mm (1/4 in) AF hex socket, 9.8 mm triangular socket and 9 mm winged key drive. They are also available with either a bright chrome or zinc plated finish.

Siemens: SIMOVAC Non-Arc-Resistant and SIMOVAC-AR Arc-Resistant Motor Controllers
The Siemens SIMOVAC medium-voltage non-arc-resistant and SIMOVAC-AR arc-resistant controllers have a modular design incorporating up to two 12SVC400 (400 A) controllers, housed in a freestanding sheet steel enclosure. Each controller is UL 347 class E2, equipped with three current-limiting fuses, a non-load-break isolating switch, and a fixed-mounted vacuum contactor (plug-in type optional for 12SVC400). The enclosure is designed for front access, allowing the equipment to be located with the rear of the equipment close to a non-combustible wall.
