Webinar: From the IO-Link Sensor Into the Cloud

October 26, 2020

Collecting sensor data locally in the field for transfer via IO-Link: The basis is the IO-Link protocol, which is a technology for communication with sensors and actuators below the fieldbus level that is standardized according to IEC 61131-9. IO-Link can offer benefits as communication system in cases where particularly complex sensors have to be connected, for example. Sensor signals from the IO-Link Box modules can be connected locally in the field via a simple sensor cable without much effort and then transmitted collectively to the IO-Link master.

In this 30-minute webinar, Torsten Budde, Product Manager I/O, and Sven Goldstein, Product Manager TwinCAT, talk about the simple IO-Link sensor connection to EtherCAT Terminals. The speakers will also present the IO-Link configuration tool, which is integrated in TwinCAT. They will then provide information on the connection of IO-Link devices to the cloud via TwinCAT IoT.

After the presentation, the speakers will be available for a Q&A session.
