Setpoint, LLC, A JR Automation Company, Opens New Facility to Centralize Operations

February 5, 2020

On Tuesday, January 21st, employees, customers, community members, and local officials gathered to celebrate the new facility grand opening of Setpoint, A JR Automation Company. The 95,000 sq. ft. building officially opened in August of 2019 and the production floor is already filling up with projects.

Prior to the purchase of the new space, Setpoint employees were spread across five smaller buildings in Ogden, UT. The new facility brings these teams together under one roof, centralizing Setpoint’s operations. The company will continue to operate out of its second facility in Ogden, UT, located at 1483 W 2550 S.

“Setpoint has come a long way and the new building we celebrated on Tuesday is just the beginning of a new chapter in our company’s growth,” said Brian Behm, President of Setpoint. “I’m also proud of our corporate commitment to long-term environmental sustainability. This new facility has a three-phase solar power array on the roof and geo-thermal heating/cooling, which eliminates the need for natural gas. We selected water-efficient landscaping, which allows for a 50% reduction in the usage of water. These features are not only environmentally sound, but will also positively impact our community.”

“We’re invested in Setpoint’s future and we’re already looking ahead towards our goals for three, five, and ten years from now,” said Bryan Jones, CEO of JR Automation, who was on hand for the celebration and had the honor of cutting the ribbon on the new facility. “Setpoint, like JR Automation, has a long-standing history of excellent project execution and passion for taking care of the customer. Getting as many people as possible under a single roof will help enhance the strong teamwork already in place.”

The event was also a celebration of the recent merger with Hitachi, Ltd. (TSE: 6051, “Hitachi”). Hitachi completed its purchase of JR Automation and its subsidiaries, including Setpoint, on December 27, 2019. This merger brings together JR Automation’s systems integration expertise with Hitachi’s deep experience in advanced digital solutions, enabling JR Automation and its subsidiaries to become a single source for the full spectrum of manufacturing and distribution needs.

“During my interactions with JR Automation team members, I’ve found that we share many things in common: a strong, family-like culture, a great leadership team, and competitive capabilities,” said Mick Enomoto, Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Integration Officer of JR Automation. “The story of our two companies working together under Hitachi’s umbrella is just beginning and I see a bright future for us all.”
