HPS Showcases Titan X Transformer at Rockwell Automation Fair
December 16, 2019
As seen at the Rockwell Automation Fair, the Hammond Power Solutions Titan® line of transformers are designed for installation in harsh environments where efficiency and performance are key. Typical applications include institutional, commercial, industrial, marine, mining, oil & gas, petrochemical, wastewater and more.
HPS Titan Series transformers are UL Listed for “Class 1, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D and Class I, Zone 2, Group IIC, T3 Hazardous Locations” and also meet ABS Type Approval for “Marine Duty Service and Offshore Applications – Electrical Distribution and Propulsion”. With a North American Temperature Classification of T3C/T3A, the HPS Titan Series will remain cool under load. The transformers meet IEC standards and is certified for IECEx Equipment Scheme, also meeting the ATEX Equipment Directive.
The transformer core and coil is completely encapsulated in epoxy and silica, providing excellent protection from airborne contaminants and preventing the ingress of moisture. A removable hinged door and factory installed grounding lugs, reduces installation time and money. The higher impedance design lowers inrush and short circuit currents, allowing the use of less costly protective devices.
